DECLAN WEBSTER
Born 1990. Based in Sheffield.
I’m a passionate creative with an eye for detail and a love of design.
I’ve worked in both solo capacity and as part of and leader of wider teams to achieve artistic visions, design goals and hopefully a sense of pride.
I’ve worked in software for over 11 years and as a product designer for 7 of those, growing from a two man team in a smaller Sheffield based company to a Senior UX Designer at a multi-national company with a team of 15.
By night I fight crime I like to keep creative with my endless list of interests. Drawing, model painting, music production, videography and video editing, 3D modelling, writing, and relatively recently learning to design and code my own video games.
I took an interest in filmmaking when I was super young but didn’t really pick up a video camera until I realised I was better off filming my friends bmx and skateboard instead of failing miserably at it myself. This lead to me attending University for Film and Video Production and starting (and later closing) a video production company called ‘Moose Lorals’ where we worked on music videos, live event coverage, the occasional wedding video and a brief dip of our toes in the YouTube waters (they we’re cold and we were awful).
Music videos in particular have always been a massive source of inspiration for me. The works of Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Chris Cunningham, Lance Bangs, Jonathan Glazer you name it.
